Study: A deadly spring for NH moose calves

As the state continues a multi-year study of the moose population, the leader of the effort expects greater calf mortality this spring and the possibility that deer may have to be more aggressively managed to ensure the survival of their largest relative.

Pond Hockey Classic a success on smaller lake

It was a different sort of tournament for this year's New England Pond Hockey Classic, as the games were played on the somewhat thin ice of Lake Waukewan after a period of warm weather and rain that threatened to cancel the tournament for the first time in its seven-year history.
