HUDSON — A Derry woman suffered minor injuries following a two-car collision at the intersection of Ferry and Library Streets during rush hour Tuesday night, according to police officials.

At roughly 5:40 p.m. Tuesday, Donna Savastano, 63, of Derry was traveling west on Ferry Street in her 2016 Jeep Cherokee when her car collided with a 2004 Hyundai Sante Fe driven by Marielle Choiniere, 17, of Hudson.

Choiniere was driving south on Library Street.

The crash caused Savastano’s car to flip upside down and come to rest on its roof.

Hudson Fire Department EMT’s brought Savastano to Southern New Hampshire Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash, police officials said.

Choiniere was not injured.

A section of Ferry Street between Library and Chase Streets was closed for about an hour to investigate the crash and remove both cars from the scene.

Impairment and speed do not appear to be factors but the cause of the crash remains under investigation, police said.

Officials are asking anyone with information about the crash to contact Hudson Police Officer Matthew Smith at 886-6011 or mflynn@hudsonnh.gov.
