BEDFORD — Police are seeking a man who allegedly approached a juvenile at a local bus stop and tried to lure him into a car Thursday morning.
Police Chief John J. Bryfonski said the incident was reported just before 10 a.m. when the juvenile and his parents told authorities he was approached by a man in a dark-colored SUV while waiting for the school bus in the area of Hawthorne Drive.
The man ordered the juvenile to get into the car and after the juvenile refused, the man left the area in an unknown direction, Bryfonski said.
The man was described as a white male in his mid-30s with an average build and a long, pointed nose. When last seen, he was wearing a hooded jacket.
Police ask anyone who was in the area of Hawthorne Drive and had additional reports of suspicious activity regarding the described car to contact police at 603-472-5113.
Police caution residents to be aware of their surroundings and immediately report anything found to be suspicious.
Bryfonski said more information will be released when it becomes available.
