AUBURN — Police say a woman who was found in a driveway with serious injuries early Monday morning may have been struck by a vehicle.

Police and fire personnel were called to the residence at 280 Bunker Hill Road about 1:30 a.m. for a medical emergency after an injured 54-year-old woman was found in the driveway.

Investigators spent much of the morning at the residence collecting evidence as they try to determine how the woman was injured.

The injuries, police say, are consistent with the woman having been struck by a vehicle.

Police said all parties involved have been identified and that the case remains under investigation.

The woman’s name was not immediately released to “give the family time to make notifications,” police said in a news release.

Fire Chief Ed Gannon referred all questions to police, saying that while fire personnel responded to a medical call at the home, the issue is a “police matter.”
