ROCHESTER — Two people were injured in a fiery crash on early Sunday when a car struck a tree on Salmon Falls Road, police said.

A police officer and a bystander were able to pull the passenger out of the 2008 Subaru Impreza before it was engulfed in flames around 2:45 a.m. Sunday, police said in a release.

Brandon Littlefield, 23, of Rochester, was taken to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries, according to the release.

Littlefield was a passenger in the car driven by Kylie Dulac, 20, of Barrington, who appeared to have been speeding before crashing into the tree, police said. Dulac was treated for minor injuries, police said.

The road remained closed for several hours after firefighters extinguished the car and the wreckage was towed away, police said.

Police said speed appears to have been a factor, but the investigation is continuing. No charges had been filed.

Anyone with information is asked to call Rochester police at (603) 330-7128.
