MERRIMACK - A New York man who was swimming with friends was found unconscious in Naticook Lake on Saturday night and rushed to the hospital, police said Sunday.

Police were called to Wasserman Park on Saturday for a possible drowning and found a group of people gathered at the docks saying a friend had gone into the water and not resurfaced, police said in a release.

Officers using flashlights spotted the man and bystanders helped get him out of the water and began administering CPR, according to the release.

Police identified the man as Tiquan Woods, 27, of Brooklyn, New York.

Woods was last known to be in serious condition, police said in the release.

Merrimack police, the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department and New Hampshire State Police Marine Patrol are investigating.
