Portsmouth Naval Shipyard

IFPTE No. 4 is the largest union on the shipyard with approximately 2,000 members. President Debbie Jennings of Portsmouth said the most pressing of the concerns brought forth by her union is the shipyard command's decision to offer roving watch on workers repairing submarines in confined spaces who would be checked on by a supervisor every 15 minutes, despite IFPTE's contract stipulating workers in confined spaces would be afforded permanent watch by a supervisor.
