Kay Kay Alexis of Nashua was one of five singers eliminated Monday night on "American Idol."

Last week, the 18-year-old was named as one of the 24 finalists vying for the title.

Monday night’s competition featured duets. Alexis performed with Pat Monahan, lead singer of the band Train.

Alexis tweeted: “I had so much fun and I met A BUNCH OF COOL AND TALENTED FRIENDS. I love you guys, don’t worry ... trust me when I say there is WAY more coming this year.”

She also tweeted: “I’m glad you guys liked my performances!! It was definitely a learning experience especially when singing with a band, it’s harder than it looks. I had so much fun tho and I am forever grateful!”

Host Ryan Seacrest tweeted: “Congrats on making it this far. The judges see so much potential in you — don’t stop.”

Alexis first won the opportunity to audition in front of Idol executive producers in Savannah, Ga., by taking home a silver ticket after competing in a New Hampshire Idol competition.

According to the American Idol website, Alexis performed nine years ago on the Tyra Banks Show, and the Maury (Povich) Show.

American Idol, which features celebrity judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, airs Sundays and Mondays from 8 to 10 p.m. on ABC. The live shows kick off April 22.
