Biggio hits key homer in Fisher Cats’ victorySpecial to the Union leader

Cavan Biggio ripped a sixth-inning two-run homer to tie the game, and the New Hampshire Fisher Cats went on to a 4-2 victory over the host Reading Fightin Phils on Sunday.
The Fisher Cats pushed across the winning run in the eighth. Bo Bichette and Biggio walked, and Juan Kelly delivered Bichette with an RBI single. Biggio later scored on Reading pitcher Edgar Garcia’s error.
Biggio’s second homer was his second in as many days and third of the season. He finished the three-game series with five runs batted in.
Dusty Isaacs (2-0) earned the win with 1 2/3 innings of one-hit relief. Zach Jackson retired the final two hitters and notched his second save. Fisher Cats starter Jon Harris went six innings, allowing two runs on four hits.
New Hampshire was scheduled to begin a three-game series at Binghamton and Tim Tebow tonight. Francisco Rio gets the start for the Fisher Cats.
