DURHAM — A Sandown man was arrested for indecent exposure after he allegedly exposed himself while driving down a busy street on UNH’s campus.

Isaac Bateman, 22, is not a student at the University of New Hampshire.

Chief Paul Dean said UNH Police were called to the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics Thursday afternoon when an employee saw Bateman exposing himself while driving on Garrison Avenue in a blue pickup truck.

Dean said police captured Bateman in the act on camera.

“It’s disturbing. We consider these kinds of things public safety risks to the campus,” Dean said.

Dean said police have been working with students and faculty members to make sure suspicious activity on campus is reported.

“The employee immediately called 911. That was helpful because we had a witness,” Dean said.

The incident happened at about 4:16 p.m. Thursday.

Bateman is expected to appear in Dover Circuit Court on the indecent exposure charge Oct. 18.
