MARLBOROUGH — A Milford man faces multiple charges, including driving as a habitual offender, after he led several police departments on a pursuit through Dublin and Marlborough Friday afternoon.
Michael Dansereau, driving a gray 2006 Honda CRV, initially fled Dublin police and was headed into Marlborough at 3:26 p.m., officials said.
Marlborough police placed spike strips on Macveagh Road in Dublin and then on Route 101 near Audrey’s Cafe, but Dansereau was able to drive around or otherwise evade them.
Keene police and New Hampshire State Police then arranged to deploy additional spike strips.
While doing that, however, police said Dansereau nearly struck several cruisers until he reduced his speed entering Marlborough’s downtown.
Officials said he then eluded officers, driving through several local streets, until they intercepted him at Knowlton Street in Marlborough.
At that point, police officials said, he tried to ram the side of the Knowlton Street Bridge, his car came to a stop and he was taken into custody without further incident.
Dansereau was placed in the custody of Dublin police after he was found not to be injured.
There were no personal injuries from the incident and the only property damage was to Dansereau’s car and the bridge.
Marlborough police officials said they intend to bring their own charges against Dansereau along with the ones Dublin police will file.
Anyone with additional information or questions about this incident is urged to contact the Marlborough Police Department at 876-3311 or the Dublin Police Department at 563-8411.
