MERRIMACK — A Merrimack woman is facing a domestic violence charge after police say she hit her boyfriend in the forehead with the butt-end of a knife during a fight.

According to Merrimack Police Sgt. Chris Spillane, officers responded Sunday to a residence to investigate a report of a domestic dispute.

Upon arrival, the officers made contact with the victim and with Jessica Beaulieu, 26, of Merrimack. After a brief investigation, police said they believe Beaulieu assaulted her boyfriend by whacking him in the forehead with the butt-end of a knife. Beaulieu was arrested on a domestic violence charge and transported to the Merrimack Police Department for processing. She was later released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear in the Merrimack 9th Circuit District Court on May 10 for arraignment on the charge.
