MANCHESTER — Police arrested a 24-year-old Manchester man Friday and charged him with cutting his girlfriend’s friend during a domestic dispute.
The girlfriend, 22, and her friend, 23, arrived at Miguel Carranza-Lopez’s 287 Concord St. apartment about 2:35 a.m., Manchester police said.
Carranza-Lopez and his girlfriend began to argue and he allegedly pushed her to the ground, according to police.
When the friend stepped in to help, Carranza-Lopez swung a knife at them and threatened to kill them both, police said. The girlfriend was uninjured, but her friend received a deep laceration on her arm, police said.
The women ran from the apartment and drove to Elliott Hospital, police said.
The friend received treatment for what police described as a serious but non-life-threatening injury.
Officers went to Carranza-Lopez’s apartment and arrested him for first-degree assault, simple assault and criminal threatening.
