CANTERBURY - A Manchester man was arrested on DWI and other charges early Sunday after driving north on Interstate 93 South, New Hampshire State Police said.
Thomas Devarenne, 27, was spotted going in the wrong direction on I-93 South near Canterbury about 2:50 a.m. Sunday, state police said in a release.
Trooper caught up to Devarenne just north of Exit 18, where his 2012 Honda Civic was disabled in the high-speed lane facing north after a collision with another vehicle, state police said.
Results from a breath text found Devarenne had a blood alcohol level about twice the legal limit, according to police.
Devarenne was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, reckless operation and having an open container, state police said. He was released on personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear Dec. 22 in Concord District Court.
