ISABELLA STEIN

WESTMINSTER, Vt. — A 20-year-old Lyme woman was charged with driving while intoxicated and with negligent operation after a Vermont state trooper stopped her from driving the wrong way on Interstate 91 early Saturday, police said.

Isabella Stein was transported to the Windsor police station and was released with a citation.

She faces arraignment in Windsor District Court on May 29.

According to a Vermont State Police report, Trooper Austin Soule went to the scene upon receiving a citizen complaint about someone driving the wrong way on I-91 about 2 a.m.

He spotted Stein driving a 2006 blue Toyota Prius on the southbound side of I-91 near the Exit 8 ramp in Weathersfield.

No one was injured in the incident, officials said.
