HOOKSETT — A local man faces three charges stemming from a domestic dispute over the weekend.

Nathaniel Sharman, 42, was arrested for second-degree assault and two counts of domestic violence simple assault, police said Sunday.

Police went to 26 Castle Drive about 9:25 p.m. Saturday for a reported domestic disturbance. A woman told police that she and Sharman, her boyfriend, argued and it got physical. Police say they determined Sharman pushed the woman twice and choked her, which impeded her breathing.

Sharman was released on $10,000 personal recognizance bond and is slated to appear Thursday in Merrimack County Superior Court.
