HOOKSETT — A 51-year-old Hooksett woman was charged with driving while intoxicated and speeding after police stopped her on Hooksett Road Sunday night.

Police said officer Jordan McCluskey pulled over a vehicle in the area of Water Works Drive just after 7 p.m. The driver was identified as Michelle Doherty, according to police.

“While speaking with Doherty, it appeared she was under the influence of alcohol,” police said in a news release. “Doherty was asked if she was willing to take field sobriety tests, which she agreed to and was subsequently arrested.”

Doherty was taken to the Hooksett police station where she agreed to a breath test; the test resulted in a blood-alcohol level of 0.13.

She was charged with driving under the influence and speeding. Doherty was released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail and is set to appear March 1 in 6th Circuit Hooksett District Court.
