HOOKSETT — A Massachusetts man was arrested on drunken-driving and other charges after a crash early Sunday on Martins Ferry Road, police said.

Ryan Burns, 22, of Mansfield, Mass., failed a field sobriety test after the crash around 2 a.m. Sunday administered by an officer who was flagged down just after the crash, police said in a release Sunday.

Burns also agreed to a breath test, which he also failed with a blood-alcohol content of .19 _ well over twice the legal limit of .8, police said.

Burns was arrested on charges of aggravated DWI, transportation and possession of a controlled drug and an open-container violation, police said.

Burns was released on $6,000 personal-recognizance bail and scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 4, police said.
