The National Historic Landmark has 25 original buildings situated on a rolling hilltop surrounded by open fields, woodlots, and ponds.

The National Historic Landmark has 25 original buildings situated on a rolling hilltop surrounded by open fields, woodlots, and ponds. Visitors have the chance to experience 200 years of the Shaker way of life. Guided tours explain and introduce the customs, inventions, furniture, architecture, and values of this utopian society. An admission fee is charged to help support the preservation of the historic site and its collections.
Canterbury Shaker Village offers a variety of entertaining, educational and engaging experiences in one of the most picturesque settings in northern New England. Your visit to the village will include choices of guided and self-guided tours, accessible historic buildings, family activities, exhibits, educational programs, special events, unique shopping, exceptional dining and breathtaking scenery.
Canterbury Shaker Village is a wonderful place to visit, rain or shine. Visitors are encouraged to allow at least two to three hours to experience the beauty of the Village and its exhibits and demonstrations. Their many choices of tours, interactive activities, and programs easily allow for hours of recreation, education, and enjoyment.
Directions: Canterbury Shaker Village is located 20 minutes north of Concord, NH. On I-93 take exit 18 and follow signs to the Village.
