New Hampshire is one of the best places in the world to witness the brilliant crimsons and golds of fall. To help visitors decide when to take a tour of the countryside, NewHampshire.com will publish weekly updates on how the fall colors are progressing during the fall foliage season.
Best time to see foliage?
The foliage peaks at different times in different parts of the state. Generally, the best times to view the fall colors are near the end of September in the far north, the beginning of October in the White Mountain region, and the middle of October in the south.
Updated October 21, 2016
The Dartmouth-Sunapee region is at peak now and there is color on the trees and green spaces, where leaves have fallen. Within the week we should be heading into past peak conditions. Time to take a ride around the lake and view two of three lighthouses on the lake.
