NH Foliage Great North Woods Region
New Hampshire is one of the best places in the world to witness the brilliant crimsons and golds of fall. To help visitors decide when to take a tour of the countryside, NewHampshire.com will publish weekly updates on how the fall colors are progressing during the fall foliage season.
Best time to see foliage?
The foliage peaks at different times in different parts of the state. Generally, the best times to view the fall colors are near the end of September in the far north, the beginning of October in the White Mountain region, and the middle of October in the south.

The Great North Woods is now alive with vibrant color. We would consider this upcoming weekend peak for this area, especially in Colebrook, but there are other areas that are still lagging behind a bit. Still, there in no time like the present to enjoy the splendid beauty of the Great North Woods. The scenery is divine in any direction.
