New Hampshire is one of the best places in the world to witness the brilliant crimsons and golds of fall. To help visitors decide when to take a tour of the countryside, NewHampshire.com will publish weekly updates on how the fall colors are progressing during the fall foliage season.

Best time to see foliage?

This area is still mostly green. There are random trees that have some color but - so far - there are not any significant areas of color.

The Great North Woods is now experiencing the right temperatures - near freezing or freezing overnight - and warm, but sometimes crisp during the day. Last week we said the stage is set for an explosion of color and it's just beginning to pop with oranges, reds, yellows and even some green left on some trees. It's really starting to get pretty now.
