New Hampshire is one of the best places in the world to witness the brilliant crimsons and golds of fall. To help visitors decide when to take a tour of the countryside, NewHampshire.com will publish weekly updates on how the fall colors are progressing during the fall foliage season.

Best time to see foliage?

The foliage peaks at different times in different parts of the state. Generally, the best times to view the fall colors are near the end of September in the far north, the beginning of October in the White Mountain region, and the middle of October in the south.

The Merrimack Valley Region is now at peak conditions and there is a lot going on this weekend. If you are ready for some Halloween action, visit the Enchanted Forest at the New Hampshire Audubon's McLane Center in Concord. That should keep you in the spirit. Also in Concord, at the Capitol Center for the Arts, you'll be able to catch Friends! A Musical Parody, at the historic theater.
