NH Foliage White Mountain Region
October 18. 2017 9:54PMNew Hampshire is one of the best places in the world to witness the brilliant crimsons and golds of fall. To help visitors decide when to take a tour of the countryside, NewHampshire.com will publish weekly updates on how the fall colors are progressing during the fall foliage season.
When is foliage at its best?
The foliage peaks at different times in different parts of the state. Generally, the best times to view the fall colors are near the end of September in the far north, the beginning of October in the White Mountain region, and the middle of October in the south.

The White Mountains Region is now past peak but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy the crunch of leaves under your feet (and what color is left on the trees). Visit Littleton's Harvest Festival and the "Gathering of the Jack-o-Lanterns." Hundreds of Jack-o-Lanterns will be lined up along the Ammonoosuc River and there will be a number of activities, live entertainment and more.
