NH Foliage White Mountain Region
New Hampshire is one of the best places in the world to witness the brilliant crimsons and golds of fall. To help visitors decide when to take a tour of the countryside, NewHampshire.com will publish weekly updates on how the fall colors are progressing during the fall foliage season.
When is foliage at its best?
The foliage peaks at different times in different parts of the state. Generally, the best times to view the fall colors are near the end of September in the far north, the beginning of October in the White Mountain region, and the middle of October in the south.

The White Mountains Region is being painted with some bright colors now after a week of cool nights. There is still just a touch of color in the Franconia Notch area, but head north to Lincoln and you'll see some color stretching across the area. A ride across the Kancamagus Highway is always beautiful but the colors are starting to stir especially in the higher elevations where the colors are brighter. More to come....soon!
