BERLIN — A 14-year-old Pembroke boy was thrown from a dirtbike when he crashed with another rider at Jericho Mountain State Park on Sunday, the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department said.

The boy, whose name was not released, suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries in the crash around 1:30 p.m. on the Brook Road Trail, Fish and Game said in release. An off-duty EMT evaluated the teen at the scene before the Berlin Fire Department arrived and transported him in an off-road vehicle to an ambulance, Fish and Game said.

The boy was taken to Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin for further evaluation and treatment, according to the release.

Fish and Game investigators said inattention at a busy intersection on the trail led to the crash.
