Sanborn for Congress

August 20. 2018 9:19PM

Andy Sanborn, who is running in the Republican primary for the 1st Congressional District, speaks during an interview at the New Hampshire Union Leader on Aug. 15, 2018. (DAVID LANE/UNION LEADER)

To the Editor: Being new to New Hampshire, I have taken a keen interest in the political atmosphere not only in my area, but in New Hampshire in general. I have been reading about Andy Sanborn, and it seems to me that he has shown over time that he is worth voting for because he can take the hard votes and truly disrupt the political machine.

I, for one, am not impressed with the status quo in D.C. I, for one, am tired of the lifelong politicians and think it is time for a change. When Andy is elected to Congress in November, I think we can rest assured that Andy will be ready to work! His experience in the Legislature has prepared him for the political (swampy) culture of Washington. Unlike our current representatives and Sanborn’s opponents, he will not fall for the tricks and false promises.

Sanborn impresses me as one who truly wants to go to Washington to fight for the residents of New Hampshire, and not just to fit in and do as he is told. He wants to see cuts in taxes and regulations, as well as a return of power to the people. He has fought for these ideals in the state Senate and now desires to bring the same ideals to Washington.

I encourage the people of New Hampshire to support Andy Sanborn and send him to Washington to work for us.
