Hockey, football: Dates set for CHaD Battle of the Badges, Queen City Jamboree

CHaD hockey game, tryouts set

MANCHESTER -- The CHaD Battle of the Badges Hockey Championship will be held March 16, 2019 at SNHU Arena in Manchester. The puck drops at 5 p.m.

Tryouts for the Police and Fire teams will be held in September and October at Sullivan Arena on the campus of St. Anselm College.

Fire tryouts are: Saturday, Sept. 22, 2-3 p.m.; Friday, Sept. 28, 7:15-8:15 p.m.; Saturday. Oct. 6, 3:15-4:15 p.m.

Police tryouts are: Saturday, Sept. 22, 3:15-4:15 p.m.; Friday, Sept. 28, 6-7 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 6, 2-3 p.m.

All interested skaters must register and bring their own equipment and water. Information and registration is available at www.CHaDHockey.org. Email CHaDhockey@hitchcock.org with any questions.

Football jamboree schedule set

MANCHESTER -- High school sports season is getting closer. The Queen City Jamboree kicks off Friday afternoon at Gill Stadium in Manchester. This year’s matchups are:

• 3:30 p.m.: Trinity vs. Manchester West

• 4:30 p.m.: Timberlane vs. Goffstown

• 5:30 p.m.: Milford vs. Concord

• 6:30 p.m.: Souhegan vs. Manchester Central

• 7:30 p.m.: Salem vs. Bedford

• 8:30 p.m.: Bishop Guertin vs. Manchester Memorial
