BENJAMIN AUSTIN

NASHUA — A city man was arrested Tuesday on domestic violence charges after police said he threatened to kill his brother with a machete, and punched him.

Benjamin Austin, 22, of 46 Kinsley St., Apt. 5E, is charged with two counts of domestic violence — simple assault, Class A misdemeanors, and with criminal threatening — domestic violence, a Class B felony, police said.

Officers were called to the residence at about 3:40 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a domestic disturbance. Austin’s brother suffered minor facial injuries in the assault that did not require medical attention, police said.

Austin refused bail and was being held in the Valley Street jail in Manchester. He was arraigned on the charges Wednesday in Hillsborough County Superior Court South, police said.
