Unemployment rate remains 2.7 percent

CONCORD — New Hampshire’s preliminary seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for June was 2.7 percent, unchanged from the May rate, which remained at 2.7 percent after revision, New Hampshire Employment Security reported Tuesday.
Seasonally adjusted estimates for June 2018 placed the number of employed residents in New Hampshire at 735,730, an increase of 2,540 from the previous month and an increase of 9,020 from June 2017.
The number of unemployed residents increased by 200 over the month to 20,180. This was 130 more unemployed than in June 2017. From May to June 2018, the total labor force increased by 2,740 to 755,910, an increase of 9,150 from June 2017.
The national unemployment rate, seasonally adjusted, was 4 percent for June, an increase of 0.2 percentage points from May.
