NH Club Notes: Bedford Lions Club elects officers, directors

BEDFORD — The Bedford Lions Club has elected officers and directors for the 2018-19 term, which began July 1.

The officers are: Mike Sills, president; Ahad Fazelat, first vice president; Anthony Correnti, second vice president; Jeanne Bellemore, secretary; Ernie Henrichon, treasurer; Elda Cordero-Goodman, lion tamer/tail twister; and Ray Bellemore, club membership chairman and centennial chairman for Lions Clubs International.

Directors are: Paul Newcomb, Margie Henrichon, Tony Juliano and Ray Bellemore.

Sills also presented the Lion of the Year award to Fazelat for outstanding service during the 2017-18 term.

Manchester Rotary Club has a new president

MANCHESTER — During the Manchester Rotary Club’s June meeting, the outgoing president, Thom Lavoie, passed the presidential gavel to Susan Manchester, who will lead the club for the coming Rotary year.

Manchester, an attorney with the Sheehan Phinney law firm, has prepared herself for the role through years of heading the club’s Foundation Committee.

She also is well-known for her involvement in local charities and the club’s major fundraiser, an annual “Cruising Downtown” classic car show, which will be held this year on Saturday, Sept. 1.
