A COUPLE OF THINGS: Thing One and Thing Two are just a pair of the colorful characters in The Prescott Park Arts Festival’s summer production of “Seussical” in Portsmouth.

PORTSMOUTH — The Prescott Park Arts Festival’s summer production of “Seussical” continues this week with shows at 7 p.m. Thursday; 1 and 8 p.m. Saturday; and 7 p.m. Sunday, July 1.

And, oh, does it make you ponder the “Thinks You Can Think.” The musical is based on the works of Dr. Seuss, the rhyming writer and illustrator (aka Theodor Seuss Geisel) behind beloved children’s books including as “Green Eggs and Ham,” “Horton Hears a Who,” “The Lorax,” “The Cat in the Hat,” “Oh, The Thinks You Can Think” and “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.”

The Seacoast show, presented by C&J Buslines, is on the Wilcox main stage at 105 Marcy St., Portsmouth. The production runs through mid-August on most Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

A special Seuss-A-Palooza event at 11 a.m. Saturday will give show-goers a chance to meet the cast of the musical before the 1 p.m. performance. Children’s games, crafts and stories are planned. Tickets for this event are $15, or $50 for a family four pack. Visit prescottpark.org for more information.
