Rafting for Wishes to benefit Make-A-Wish NHMay 30. 2018 10:37PM
Twenty relay teams will spend 30 hours rafting on Lake Winnipesaukee from July 20 to 21 at the 2018 Rafting for Wishes at Hesky Park in Meredith to help reach a fundraising goal of $150,000.
The relay will conclude at 5:30 p.m. July 21 with a celebration at Hesky Park including prizes awarded for best team spirit and best costumes/theme.
Brady Sullivan Properties is supporting Make-A-Wish New Hampshire’s eighth annual event as its $10,000 title sponsor.
“Thanks to the support of Brady Sullivan Properties, Rafting for Wishes has more than doubled in growth from the previous year, ultimately raising more than it ever has in the event’s history” said Make-A-Wish New Hampshire’s President and CEO, Julie Baron.
Make-A-Wish New Hampshire was founded in December 1986, and has since granted more than 1,540 wishes in the Granite State.
It currently grants a wish for a child facing a critical illness in New Hampshire every four days, the nonprofit said.
Kim Brady of Brady Sullivan Properties has been a wish granter and contributor for over 15 years.
“Make-A-Wish does such amazing work for the children in our community, and they continue to do it with incredible passion and creativity,” Brady said.
