Sandown Garden Club’s plant swap set for Monday
SANDOWN — Many gardeners have an abundance of plants in their gardens that need to be divided or removed. One way to recycle the plants is to share them with others at a plant swap.
The Sandown Garden Club will host its annual plant swap at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Recreation Center on Pheasant Run Drive. The public is invited to participate.
Anyone interested may bring up to three plants, such as perennials, herbs or small bushes, and exchange them for an equal number. Plants should be in sturdy pots or containers, healthy, well-cared for and garden-worthy. They need to be identified and have some care information included. Annuals, invasive or diseased plants are not eligible.
Light refreshments will be served during the setup, giving everyone a chance to look over the plants and ask questions. The swap is also a time to share gardening ideas and advice.
It’s not necessary to be from Sandown to join the club, which belongs to both the N.H. Federation of Garden Clubs and National Garden Clubs. Membership information can be found at www.sandowngardenclub.org. To contact the club, email email@example.com.
