Manchester native Adam Sandler co-stars with Chris Rock in the Netflix comedy “The Week of,” about two dads with very different perspectives about their kids’ impending nuptials.

The cast of the movie, now on Netflix, brings together folks with lots of “Saturday Night Live” ties. Sandler, Rock and Rachel Dratch are former “SNL” cast mates, and “The Week of” director Robert Smiegel is best known for his “TV Funhouse” cartoon shorts on the late-night sketch comedy show (as well as being the voice of Insult the Comic Dog.)

In “The Week of,” it isn’t a bridezilla who is the problem in the days leading up to the “I Do’s;” it’s the clashes between the frugal, middle-class father of the bride and the inciting doctor dad of the groom that make for an initially rocky start to the extended families’ union.

Steve Buscemi, Allison Strong and Noah Robbins round out the cast of the new series.
