LONDONDERRY - A 77-year-old Valley Street man was arrested Wednesday, accused by police of threatening a woman with a gun in a domestic dispute.

Police found Edward Reynolds hiding in a car in the driveway, according to a release. A gun also was found in the car, police said.

Officers were called to Valley Street about 9:30 p.m., where the woman told police Edwards had threatened her with a gun and then left the home.

With help from Windham, Derry, Salem, Pelham, Auburn, and state police, as well as the Southern New Hampshire Special Operations Unit, officers set a perimeter while a search team began checking the area and found Edwards just before 11 p.m. in a car in the driveway, police said.

Reynolds has been charged with simple assault (domestic), resisting arrest and criminal threatening with a firearm, police said.
