Liberty House adds Edwards, Lesperance to board

MANCHESTER — Liberty House has welcomed two new members to its board of directors.

Jesse Edwards is a 33-year Army Medical Service Corps officer who retired as a lieutenant colonel in 2009. Currently, he is a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives’ Health, Human Services and Elderly Affairs committee; vice chairman of the House Veterans Interest Caucus; and joint committee member of the Committee to Study Mental Health and Social Service Business Process Alignment and Information System Interoperability. Edwards also serves as adjutant of American Legion Post 108 in Chester.

Wayne Lesperance is the dean of Undergraduate Residential Programs at New England College. From 1999 to 2016, he was a professor of political science. Lesperance serves as director of the Master of Arts in Public Policy program and the Center for Civic Engagement, both at the school. He earned his doctorate of law and policy from Northeastern University in 2010.
