The Palace Theatre is serving up a happy dose of Abba music with “Mamma Mia.”

MANCHESTER — Mamma Mia, who is the daddy?

The hit musical based on the music of ‘70s hit-making Sweddish pop group Abba, is headed to The Palace Theatre for 21 shows from Friday through May 6.

Writer Catherine Johnson’s sunny, funny tale unfolds on a Greek island paradise. On the eve of her wedding, a daughter’s quest to discover the identity of her father brings three men from her mother’s past back to the island they last visited 20 years ago.

ABBA songs propel this tale of love, laughter and friendship.

Shows during opening weekend are set for 7:30 p.m. Friday; 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday; and 2 p.m. Sunday.

Tickets are $39 to $51 for adults and $25 to $30 for ages 6 to 12.

For more information about the show, visit the box office at 80 Hanover St., call 668-5588 or go to palacetheatre.org.
