NH College Roundup: Deyo homers twice, PSU sweeps

Senior Allison Moylan pitched 5 1/3 strong innings and junior Ashley Deyo of Dover homered for the second straight game as the Plymouth State University softball team won its fourth in a row Wednesday, blanking Buffalo State College 6-0 on Wednesday.

The Panthers beat Maryville College, 7-3, earlier in the day.

Lancaster’s Mary King scored Berlin’s Jen Landers with a single in the fourth.

Caitlyn Miller of Lee pitched 1 2/3 innings to earn the save.

Landers drove home to runs in the sixth.

In the early game, Deyo homered and Miller threw her fourth complete game in five starts.

Cassidy Emerson of Concord doubled and scored twice, and King and Landers also scored.

Dartmouth 7, Houston Baptist 2: At Houston, Morgan Martinelli homered for the Big Green (6-11), Claire Bird doubled home a run and scored a run. Micah Schroeder drove in three.

Freshman Shelby Wilkison Wilkison went six inning, allowing six strikeouts, three hits, two runs and a walk.

Fellow freshman Heather Turner pitched the final inning, walking one and allowing no hits.
