MANCHESTER - A city woman faces a DWI charge after crashing into a DWI patrol car on St. Patrick's Day.

Kathleen McGhee, 41, was arrested on a charge of operating under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs about 5:15 p.m. Saturday at Hanover and Elm streets, police said Monday in a release.

A detective on DWI patrol was stopped at a red light when his police car was rear-ended by a vehicle McGhee was driving, the release said.

There were no injuries and only minor damage to the vehicles, police said.

According to police, the crash was the second in 2018 in which the DWI patrol car was involved in an accident involving an alleged impaired driver.
