NHIAA Roundup: Hanover girls skate to victory; Goffstown girls take 7th straight

Cate Wagner scored twice and added an assist as Hanover blanked Bishop Brady/Trinity/West 6-0 on Tuesday in a matchup of top girls’ hockey teams in Hooksett.
Rebekah Rudd made nine saves for the shutout as Hanover improved to 14-1-1. The Marauders’ two blemishes came against Massachusetts power Austin Prep (6-3 loss) and Andover, Mass. (2-2 tie).
Hanover’s Emma Tysinger, Kelly Citera, Briland Laycock and Sage McGinley-Smith each scored once.
Emily Senko made 31 saves for Bishop Brady/Trinity/West (14-2-1).
Bishop Guertin 8, Berlin-Gorham 2: In Tyngsborough, Mass., Ashley Killen’s hat trick and five points from Lindsay Hult propelled the Cardinals (12-5) past the Mountaineers (10-7). Hult scored twice and assisted on three goals to make up her big night. Killen added an asssist with her goals. Abbey Houle stopped 28 shots for BG.
Merrimack 4, Oyster River 3: In Manchester, Andrew Frothingham’s goal with three minutes remaining in regulation lifted Merrimack to the Division II victory at West Side Arena in Manchester. Steve Licata, Zach Stimeling and Kai Schimp also scored for the Tomahawks (5-10-1).
Merrimack goalie Greg Amato made 29 saves.
Declan Daubney, Will Cilia and Samuel Davies scored for Oyster River (9-8).
Bedford 65, Winnacunnet 23: In Hampton, Bedford completed an undefeated (18-0) regular season. Mia Roy led all scorers with 18 points.
All 12 Bedford players scored. Winnacunnet completed its season at 9-9.
Goffstown 56, Windham 43: In Windham, the good times continue to roll for the Grizzlies (12-5) as they extended their winning streak to seven games.
A 16-5 third quarter in favor of Goffstown was the difference. Kelly Walsh dropped 25 points for the Grizzlies, who also picked up 10 points from Sofia Perez.
Sam Adamson led Windham (10-7) with 14 points.
Pinkerton 68, Trinity 25: In Derry, the Astros spread the wealth with 11 players scoring to help push their record to 15-2 on the season.
Pinkerton never allowed Trinity to score more than eight points in a quarter while it scored a combined 47 points between the second and third.
Amanda Lemire and Brooke Kane topped Pinkerton’s scoring with 15 and 13 points. Trinity slipped to 1-16.
Bedford 65, Winnacunnet 23: In Hampton, the Bulldogs completed a perfect 18-0 regular season with the rout.
Mia Roy’s 18 points led Bedford, which had all 12 players score. Winnacunnet finishes the regular season at 9-9.
Manchester Memorial 62, Concord 57: In Manchester, seniors Jake Santiago (14 points) and Manny Alisandro (10) led the Crusaders as they improved to 11-4.
Portsmouth 62, Salem 37: In Portsmouth, the Clippers (13-2) notched their ninth consecutive win with a 16-0 second quarter setting the pace. Mike Sanborn (18 points), Cody Graham (14) and Alex Tavares (10) were all in double figures for Portsmouth.
Trevor DeMinico and Zack Caraballo had 11 and nine points for Salem (8-7).
Pembroke 66, Souhegan 60: In Amherst, the Sabers missed 12 of their 23 free-throw attempts and fell to 8-9 in Division II. Matt McCool (15), Anderson Geffrard (12) and Khaled Nazir (10) each scored in double figures for Souhegan.
Jacob Sherman led Pembroke with 27. Noah Cummings finished with 11.
Dover 81, Londonderry 45: In Dover, the Green Wave (7-8) took it to the Lancers (9-6) behind 33 points from Ty Vitko. Kingsley Breen and John Cantwell followed Vitko with 12 and 10 points.
Jack Anderson was the lone player in double figures for Londonderry with 12 points.
Windham 57, Goffstown 43: In Goffstown, it was a gradual build towards a win for the Jaguars, who had the lead at every break. Jude Donabedian scored 10 points to lead Windham while Tom Splagounias and Riley Demarais tallied nine and eight points. Myles Green posted 15 for the Grizzlies.
