CONCORD — A 28-year-old city man is facing felony and other charges after police said he broke into the home of a family he didn’t know and assaulted a young juvenile early Sunday morning.
Miles Anderson was charged with burglary, a Class A felony, two counts of indecent exposure, each a Class B felony and misdemeanor simple assault, according to a release.
Police received a 911 call about 4 a.m. reporting a burglary. The homeowner was holding Anderson for them when they arrived, the release said.
Anderson is accused of breaking into the home, making his way to the room of a sleeping juvenile, and then disrobing and assaulting the child, police said.
Police said they had contact with Anderson in the area earlier Sunday but did not have any cause to arrest or detain him at that time. Police ask anyone with information to call Lt. Sean Ford at 230-3728 or the Concord Regional Crimeline at 226-3100.
