NH College Roundup: St. Anselm loses lead late, falls at Pace

Sara Messler led St. Anselm with 20 points, reeling in eight rebounds and throwing up two blocks in the Hawks’ 67-62 loss to Pace on Wednesday in Pleasantville, N.Y.
Ali Glennon and Shannon Ryan struck for 13 points apiece. Clairee Putnam tallied two assists, reaching 150 career assists across a four-year career on the Hilltop. The Hawks led by seven with 4:51 to play before falling.
St. Rose 69, SNHU 66: At Albany, N.Y., Kylie Lorenzen and Catherine Stinson each scored 14 points, and Gyanna Russell scored 13 off the bench, but the Penmen squandered a lead after three quarters and fell Wednesday night. SNHU is 11-7, 7-4 in the Northeast-10. St. Rose is 8-9, 6-5 in the conference.
Isa Vara de rey led all scorers with 20 points, and Ashley Vanderwall added 12 for the Golden Knights.
Southern Connecticut State 55, Franklin Pierce 54: At Rindge, Abby Hurlbert’s layup with 1:42 to go gave the visiting Owls the lead for good. Hurlbert led Southern Connecticut (13-6, 7-4 NE-10) with 18 points and Chandler Williams added 12 off the bench.
The Ravens’ Mya Mosley led all scorers with 22 points. Jemma Thacker added 10. Franklin Pierce is 4-12, 1-10 in the Northeast-10.
Southern Maine 76, Plymouth State 48: At Plymouth, the Panthers’ Jess Conant led all scorers with 21 but the Huskies had a 10-point lead after one quarter and never looked back.
Cassidy Emerson added 10 points for Plymouth State (5-11, 1-5 Little East).
Chantel Eells led Southern Maine (8-8, 5-1 Little East) with 17. Kristen Curley added 16 points and Seve Deery-Deraps scored 15.
Eastern Connecticut State 59, Keene State 45: At Keene, Kelly Reardon led four scorers in double figures with 15 for Eastern Connecticut (4-10, 2-3 Little East). Sabrina LeMere added 13 points, Mya Villard scored 12, and Kelsey Santagata added 10.
Lilly Shilmon led Keene State (2-13, 0-5 Little East) with 10.
