College Roundup: Wildcat women skate past UConn

Rochester’s Taylor Wenczkowski had a goal and an assist, helping the University of New Hampshire women’s hockey team past Connecticut 3-1 on Sunday at the Whittemore Center in Durham.
Devan Taylor and Abby Chapman also scored for UNH (7-7-3 in Hockey East, 10-10-5 overall), and freshman goalie Ava Boutillier made 39 saves for the win.
Franklin Pierce 5, Post 2: In Shelton, Conn., Cameron Shepardson notched the hat trick as the Ravens improved to 4-10-1.
SNHU 5, Suffolk 2: In Hooksett, five Penmen found the net and sophomore Kurt Gutting made a career-high 37 saves. Goffstown’s Kyle Valliere, Manchester’s Jared Goudreau, Tim Baylis, Artem Efimov-Barakov and Hooksett’s Chris Moquin scored for SNHU (6-3-2). Moquin’s goal came on a power play; he has eight goals, including seven on the man advantage and is tied for third in NCAA Division II/III in power-play goals.
St. Anselm 3, Stonehill 0: In Boston, senior goalie Shane Joyce recorded 32 saves to post his second-straight shutout. The Hawks (7-7-1, 4-2-0 in the Northeast-10 Conference), received goals from Jeremy Carignan, Bryan Green and Mike Ferraro.
Princeton 6, Dartmouth 3: In Hanover, the Tigers broke away from a 2-2 first-period tie to win and pull into an eighth-place tie in the ECAC with the Big Green. Dartmouth is 4-6-1 (6-10-2 overall), Princeton 4-8-1 (7-10-3). Matt Baker, Will Graber and Tim Shoup scored for Dartmouth, which was outshot 44-27. The Big Green visit St. Lawrence and Clarkson this weekend.
