Santa Fund's $190,000-plus in donations will help those in need

This year marked the 58th consecutive year of the Union Leader Santa Fund for The Salvation Army. Thanks to the generosity of businesses, organizations and individuals in the community, the more than $190,000 raised this year brings the lifetime campaign total to more than $8 million.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our many thousands of donors and supporters for all they have done and continue to do over the years to brighten the holidays and new year for others.
Every year, Santa Fund dollars provide warm clothing, meals and toys for thousands of individuals, children and families during the holidays, as well as support Kids' Café, summer camps and other critical programs and community services.
Though the Salvation Army is responsible for the coordination and execution of Santa Fund-supported programs, the staff at the New Hampshire Union Leader are responsible for all fundraising efforts. Any administrative or overhead costs related to the campaign are absorbed by the newspaper, ensuring that every dollar raised goes directly to those in need in our community.
