Police released these surveillance photos of the man they said took cash and credit cards from a nurse's pocketbook at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester Sunday evening.

MANCHESTER — Police are looking for a man they said took the money and credit cards from a nurse’s purse at Catholic Medical Center Sunday evening while she tended to a patient in another room.

Officers were called to CMC about 5:20 p.m., where hospital security had found the 27-year-old nurse’s purse discarded in a men’s bathroom with her personal and work cell phones still inside. The nurse had left her purse in an unsecured room while tending to a patient in a room about 15 feet away and discovered it was missing when she returned, police said.

The man, whose image was captured by hospital surveillance cameras, was described as dark skinned, with black hair, glasses and between 20 and 30 years old. He was wearing a black Northface jacket with gray, hooded sweatshirt, jeans and a blue backpack, police said.

Police ask anyone with information to call them at 792-5500, or Crimeline at 624-4040 referencing case number 17-20117. Tips leading to identification and arrest could be eligible for a cash reward, police said.
