BOSCAWEN — Blue Star Mothers of NH is once again sponsoring “Wreaths for Boscawen” at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.

This year, the sections that will receive wreaths are sections 5, 6, 43 and 44. A wreath will also be placed at columbaria A, B, C, H and D, as well as at section markers 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11, 43 and 44.

The event starts at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, coinciding with the day that wreaths are placed at Arlington National Cemetery as part of the Wreaths Across America program.

Soldiers’ Helpers and the NHTI Veterans Club will be on hand with refreshments.

The New Hampshire Civil Air Patrol will hold a ceremony at noon at the cemetery’s Circle of Flags, in conjunction with Wreaths Across America.

Blue Star Mothers of NH is accepting donations to help purchase wreaths.

They cost $7, are purchased locally and will be delivered to the cemetery the day of the event.

Checks may be made payable to Blue Star Mothers of NH — Wreaths, 11 Jameson Ave., Gilford, NH 03249.

Blue Star Mothers of NH will return to the cemetery Saturday, Jan. 13, to help pick up the wreaths.
