UNH men fall to Furman

Furman pulled away in the second half for a 78-64 victory over the University of New Hampshire men’s basketball team on Friday in the Phil Knight Invitational in Nashville, Tenn.

Senior Tanner Leissnier had 21 points and eight rebounds to lead UNH (1-4), which trailed by five at halftime.

UNH freshman Elijah Jordan finished with 13 points and six rebounds and four assists.

The Wildcats stayed in Nashville to play Utah State today at 1 p.m.

Dartmouth women roll

Four Dartmouth players scored in double figures as the Big Green women’s basketball team routed Rhode Island 70-54 on Friday at Leede Arena in Hanover.

Senior Kate Letkewicz and junior Cy Lippold both scored 17 points while senior Emily Slagle dropped in 14 and junior Isalys Quiñones added 11. Letkewicz also grabbed 10 rebounds for her first double-double of the season.

Dartmouth is 3-0 for the first time since the 2014-15 season.

The Rams dropped to 1-4.
