Manchester man charged in theft of loaded gun from Merrimack car

November 20. 2017 1:15PM

MERRIMACK — Police have arrested a 33-year-old Manchester man in the theft of a loaded gun from a car after using a neighbor's surveillance system to confirm his identity, police said.

Gregory Gosselin, of 22 English Village Way, No. 10, was charged with theft of a firearm, a Class A felony. The theft was reported Friday morning in the north end of town, police said.

Investigators said they learned a car registered to Gosselin had been seen in the area about 3:30 a.m. that morning and that Gosselin was on federal parole for weapons offenses. When police learned a neighbor had a video surveillance system, police said, they used it to identify Gosselin with the help of federal parole officers.

Gosselin was arrested in Manchester by city police and federal parole officers.
