November 16. 2017 3:03AM

MANCHESTER — Veterans & First Responders Healthcare will hold a gala opening celebration of a substance use and PTSD outpatient treatment center today.

The organization is veteran-owned and operated and founded to provide dual treatment for service members, veterans, first responders and their families suffering from substance use and mental health disorders.

The center, co-sponsored by Strive Health, is at 1750 Elm St.

Among the speakers will be Manchester Fire Chief Dan Goonan, whose department oversees the successful Safe Station program, which allows drug addicts to head to a city fire station for help without fear of being arrested.
